I would suggest the definition of a perfect date is that you eventually are going for a second date too, and many more after that. In order to make your first date a pefect date, you will need to add a personal touch to it… and for this, you must know a little about your date…her likes and interests.

While you might map out in your mind how you want or how you would like your first date to go, in reality it might not happen so. Some things are simply beyond our control and might go wrong. But you can have a some foresight into the circumstances and plan accordingly. For example, you figure your first date is to go for a walk with your date, walking hand in hand on the beach. However, the weather forecast reports heavy rains during the day, and you then change your plan accordingly, and set up the date in a cozy restaurant, overlooking the beach. Thus, you saved your date from being a disaster.

Where ever you get your first date ideas from; your friends, books, or the internet, do not forget to add your personality and personal touch to it, so that it does not look copied and you feel comfortable in it. Avoid applying the same idea for every date afterwards, going to the same place, doing the same things. Repetition leads to boredom and may not lead to further dates with the same person.
